I love the arts! I started doing stained glass windows in the 1980’s. While working for a glass studio in Redmond, WA I noticed they had a kiln. I started teaching myself the art of fused glass. I made a lot of platters and picture frames…but I wanted to add more detail to my work so I bought a torch and started melting and shaping bits of glass to add to my platters and frames. Soon after that I taught myself how to make art glass beads.I fine tuned my skills and started teaching nationally and internationally. In 2016 I was selected as ‘jewelry artist of the year” by Bead & Button magazine. I have been making beads for 30 years now. During that time I also played with metalsmithing. I took some classes and taught myself a lot of techniques to incorporate with my beads. In the last 5 years I have been doing a lot more metalsmithing than glass.
I currently show my work at The Port Townsend Gallery in Port Townsend, WA
